Club competition rules

2.1
Club competitions shall have:

ONE print section. This will include Trade Processed, Colour and Monochrome prints. These will all be judged on an equal footing. (See points: 2.2)
ONE digital section. (See points: 2.3)

2.2
Print entries:

Shall be suitably mounted on board not less than 250mm X 200mm and not more than 500mm X 400mm.
Shall include TITLE and AUTHOR’s name on the reverse side of the mount.
Each member shall be allowed a maximum of two entries.*

2.3
Digital entries:

Shall be a maximum of 1600 pixels wide X 1200 pixels high. Image sizes smaller than this should be placed on a canvas not larger than 1600 pixels wide X 1200 pixels high.
Shall include TITLE and AUTHOR’s name in the file details.
Each member shall be allowed a maximum of two entries.
Shall be judged by projection.

2.4 All elements of every entry must be the copyright of the author.

2.5 Any entry not complying with the rules may be rejected by the Competition Secretary, and notification given to the president before the competition.

2.6 Work placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd in club quarterly competitions cannot be entered again, other work can be entered once more. All work can be entered in the annual exhibition. In this competition again; those pictures/images not placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd can be entered once more. That does not preclude you entering these pictures/images in other competitions or the annual exhibition. Subject to those competition rules.

2.7 Unless otherwise advised, no entry shall be considered after the last day of entry as indicated in the programme.

 *TEMPORARY ARRANGEMENTS:

In order to have sufficient work for the judge to assess, up to 2 entries may be entered in the Print Section. The second entry should be labelled “2” or “reserve”, and this may not be presented if there are too many overall entries.

 N.B. - As the development of techniques occur, and club circumstances change, the criteria for competitions may alter.
